Normond C & E Series Analogue Gauges

The Normond analogue gauge is robust, reliable and weather-resistant which makes it a popular choice for commercial sites. Featuring a hand pump mechanism, the gauges do not require any power and are therefore ideally suited for hazardous environments.

Technical Information – Normond C & E Series

The Normond C and E series of analogue gauges operate on the hydrostatic principle with a hand pump, which means that no power supply is needed. The pump displaces the liquid from the balance chamber, resulting in back pressure which is detected by the gauge and displayed on the dial.

The C series gauge shows a reading in volume, weight or height, whereas the E series gauge displays how full the tank is as a % reading. Both gauges are very easy for site owners to install without the need for outside assistance.

Gauges C & E Series are supplied with a standard balance chamber, ‘BCKIT’ which is complete with 10 metres of PVC connection tube and brass weight.

Please note:  The chambers are constructed from brass, rather than the previous copper design.

Maintenance, Calibration and Testing Services

The C series is individually calibrated to the size of the tank and to satisfy site requirements – calibration certificates are supplied with each gauge. Future recalibrations can be performed on request.

The E series gauges are self-calibrated on site. Both gauges are supplied with a one-year warranty.

Please Note:
The gauges are not compatible with vapour recovery systems.

The G-series is very easy for site owners to install without the need for outside assistance.

Please note: The G Series does not come with a ‘BCKIT’.

Dip Rods

TSG Fleet manufactures accurately calibrated dip rods for stationary tanks, using data supplied by the tank manufacturer or customer as a reference. Dip rods are both durable and easy to read and can be used as a yardstick in the event of tank gauging problems or discrepancies.

The glass fibre dip rods are easy to handle and do not bend or break. Being light, they can be repeatedly used without the risk of penetrating the bottom of the tank. As an additional specialist service, we can manufacture and supply calibrated dip rods for use in road tankers.
