The Project
SGN Retail UK commissioned TSG to transform its Bromsgrove site into a modern, premium destination for vehicle care. The scope included removing the existing car wash and installing a Kärcher CW5 rollover system, known for its superior performance and efficiency. Alongside the equipment upgrade, TSG was tasked with redesigning and implementing all branding elements to reflect a bold new identity.
TSG secured the full contract following direct negotiation with the client, covering all installation and branding services. The project was scheduled for completion within ten weeks from the point of order.
All works were delivered by TSG engineers, with no subcontractors involved. The team included Sam Watts (Sales), Paul Harrison (Project Director), two TSG Vehicle Wash Engineers and two TSG Branding Engineers.
The Solution
The installation of the Kärcher CW5 system required careful removal of the existing infrastructure, with strict adherence to safety protocols. Utilities were reworked to accommodate the new system, and a phased project plan was developed to minimise disruption and ensure compliance.
Branding was fully redesigned and installed, including:
- External building rebranding with SGN and Kärcher logos
- Installation of internal VION safety vinyl to address existing cracks in some panels
- Informational and promotional signage in a modified colour palette for improved visibility
- Updated safety signage
- One broken glass panel replaced free of charge as added value
The branding design was created by TSG and approved by SGN, with flexibility built in to support future rollouts across additional sites.
Despite unpredictable weather and tight timelines, the project stayed on schedule thanks to flexible planning and frequent client updates. The team maintained transparency throughout, balancing stakeholder expectations and delivering long-term value.
The Result
The project was completed within the agreed timeframe, with all of the scope delivered to specification. SGN Retail UK expressed high satisfaction with the outcome, praising TSG’s professionalism and execution.
Following completion, SGN confirmed plans to proceed with five further rollover installations. Wash sales are increasing, and the Bromsgrove site now stands as a flagship location for SGN’s vehicle care offering.
