TSG UK delivers a smart, automated system that keeps retailers compliant and in control.

From February 2026, the Government’s Fuel Finder scheme will change the way forecourts operate. Every petrol filling station in the UK will be legally required to report fuel prices within 30 minutes of any change. It is a bold step to give drivers access to live pricing data and reinvigorate competition, but for retailers, it introduces a new regulatory challenge.
The Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) will enforce the scheme under The Motor Fuel Price (Open Data) Regulations 2025. While the first three months will focus on support rather than penalties, the expectation is clear: accurate, timely reporting is mandatory. Miss the 30-minute window and retailers risk fines.
For busy forecourts, manual updates via web portals, Short Message Service (SMS) or Interactive Voice Response (IVR) are far from ideal. Price changes can occur several times a day, and every delay adds to the pressure. That is why TSG UK Solutions is developing a smarter way forward.
TSG will launch this new solution in February, ahead of the Fuel Finder compliance deadline. TSG is proud to be the first electronic point-of-sale (EPOS) provider to announce an automated reporting system for Fuel Finder, setting the pace for innovation in the retail fuel sector.
As one of the leading suppliers to the retail fuel sector, TSG is creating an automated solution that integrates with its EPOS system. The service will update Fuel Finder automatically via the official API link whenever a price changes at the pump. No manual input, no chasing deadlines; just seamless reporting.
TSG Prizma retailers can subscribe to the service for a one-off installation fee and a small monthly support charge. Before activation, retailers must register for Fuel Finder and provide TSG with their API key. This key is integrated during setup, enabling automatic transmission of price updates to Fuel Finder. Once prices are transmitted to Fuel Finder, the system generates a confirmation report for the retailer. This provides clear proof that updates have been sent successfully, removing any doubt and giving forecourts full visibility of their legal obligations.
The solution focuses on price updates only, not pump outages or sold-out grades, but it removes the biggest administrative burden and frees up valuable time for running the business.
Simon Burnett, Head of Sales for Retail and Systems at TSG UK, said:
“We are excited to bring this solution to market. It is designed to make life easier for retailers and ensure they stay compliant without the stress of manual reporting. This is about giving forecourts confidence and control as the industry moves into a new era of transparency.”
Fuel Finder promises clarity for consumers and competition for the market. For retailers, it demands speed and accuracy. With TSG’s automated solution, compliance becomes effortless, and peace of mind comes as standard.
