Health, Safety and the Environment (HSSE)
Health, Safety, Security & Environment is a fundamental part of our business. Our management teams, at all levels, are directly involved in developing HSSE targets at both individual and organisational levels. We use a common set of rules, guidelines and reporting tools to ensure a high level of professionalism and consistency with local and global standards, wherever we operate. This means we have strict selection procedures and training programmes for all our subcontractors. Our “zero accidents” target aims to create a safer environment for our employees, our customers and their end customers.
We have won numerous awards from customers all over the world for our commitment to creating a safe and secure environment for our staff and our customers. The most recent awards we have received include:
Our local and global HSSE teams work closely together to share knowledge. Through best practice principles, proactive safety initiatives and valuable lessons learnt from ‘near-miss’ incidents, TSG ensures that safety is a top priority. These measures are vital to achieving our goal of ensuring that everyone returns home safely from work – every single day.
A focus on safety is fundamental to our success; that is why HSSE is deeply ingrained in TSG’s culture across all our departments. Based on our strategic goal of “Zero Accidents”, the philosophy at TSG is that no accidents are acceptable. That is why investigation, root cause analysis and learning from past incidents are crucial to enabling us to continue driving positive change. At TSG, we are united in our commitment to upholding the highest possible standards within HSSE; consequently, we set sky-high expectations of one another when it comes to safety in the workplace.
Near-miss reporting is at the heart of our proactive approach to safety management, whereby employees submit reports on ‘near misses’ and potential hazards. We share these reports with our customers so that any faults or shortcomings at the customer’s site can be addressed, whilst also using them for internal logging and analysis. Through our service database, Kimoce, we can ensure that local reports can be accessed and downloaded immediately by customers and partners. This enables us to carry out better trend analyses and encourages global efforts to tackle shared challenges.
