The EU’s AFIR Regulation requires that it must be possible to pay at new public charging points without being a customer of the operator beforehand. ChargePay meets this requirement, so you won’t have to find a solution to this afterwards.
When the customer pulls up at the charging point, the payment simply has to work

Pay using the card the customer has with them
Customers pay by payment card or MobilePay, and drivers can use their fuel card at the charger, just as they do at the diesel pump. The screen guides them from start to finish.
The price is displayed before the charger starts
You set the connection fee, the price per kWh and any parking charges yourself, and the customer can see all of this on the screen. Using the QR code, the customer can monitor the charging process and stop it from their phone.
Payment terminal for charging points from all manufacturers
-
Works with all OCPP chargers
The ChargePay connects to the charger via OCPP. As long as the charger complies with the standard, the brand does not matter, and this also applies to chargers that are already in place. A single terminal can control several chargers, and you can set up multiple terminals at the same site.
-
Touchscreen
The screen guides the customer through the payment process, and you can add your own content, such as prices or a special offer from the shop.
-
Mobile payments
Customers can pay via MobilePay or start and pay for the top-up in the app using MobyPay.
-
Receipt with discount code
The receipt is issued digitally via the QR code and may include a discount code. Using the built-in barcode scanner, you can let the driver into the shop whilst the car or lorry is charging.
-
Waterproof
The terminal is IP65-certified and can be left outside by the charger all year round.
-
A single, comprehensive overview
Sales data, reports and prices are available on the MyCharlie portal, where you can also adjust prices remotely.
-
Secure payment
When charging begins, a sum is reserved on the card to ensure that payment for the electricity is guaranteed. You arrange the card processing agreement – for example, with Nets – yourself.
Three versions of ChargePay
ChargePay
The full-featured terminal with a touchscreen. It is located next to the chargers and can control several of them at the same site.
ChargePay Lite
A simpler terminal offering the same payment methods and the same price overview. It also uses QR codes, digital receipts and MyCharlie.
ChargePay CIT
The terminal is built into the charger itself. Customers can stop charging from the car, from the terminal or from their mobile phone.
Payment at the fuel dispenser and the charger from the same partner
If you run a petrol station or a truck stop, you already have a payment system at the fuel pumps. When chargers are installed in the forecourt, payment at the chargers can be handled by the same partner, and our own technicians service both. We do not own or operate the chargers ourselves, so we never compete with you for customers.
