TSG expands with solar power and BESS in Denmark

As the electrification and integration of renewable energy gather pace, TSG is evolving from being a leading provider of technical services to the mobility sector into a key player in wider energy ecosystems. The acquisition of NRGreen In 2025, this was a strategic step in this development – not only because it adds new capabilities, but because it changes the way TSG delivers value to customers in Denmark and the Nordic region.

TSG’s core business remains technical solutions for petrol stations and fuel infrastructure. Operational reliability, compliance and efficient energy management are at the heart of the business. However, the market is evolving. More sites are gradually being expanded to include electric vehicle charging, local energy generation and new forms of energy, and this places greater demands on integration and energy management. This is where NRGreen plays a strategic role.

A broader energy base

With NRGreen, TSG brings specialised expertise in solar power systems and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). This makes it possible to consider energy generation, storage and consumption as a unified whole – including at existing fuel sites.

It is not about replacing traditional business, but about complementing it with solutions that:

  • provides greater flexibility in a market with fluctuating electricity prices
  • reduces load and power peaks
  • supports the integration of electric vehicle charging
  • opens up new revenue opportunities via the energy markets

As petrol stations and mobility sites evolve into broader energy hubs, this holistic approach becomes crucial.

From technical service partner to energy integrator

Over the decades, TSG has built up a strong position as a technical service partner in the field of sustainable mobility solutions – from biofuels to gas and electrification. With solar power and energy storage, its role is expanding.

Rather than simply supplying and maintaining infrastructure, TSG in Denmark can now help to design more comprehensive energy solutions, in which cost-effectiveness, capacity and future scalability are taken into account from the outset.

This strengthens the Group’s position in a market where both regulatory requirements and commercial opportunities are evolving rapidly.

As part of its focus on energy storage, NRGreen is hosting a free webinar on Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) on Tuesday 24 March at 11.00–11.45.

In collaboration with the energy trader Reel, the focus is on investment levels, revenue opportunities through system services and energy trading, as well as the technical realities behind the establishment and operation of battery facilities.
