Biofuels can be produced from biomass — i.e. from parts of plants — and if this can be done sustainably, their impact on the climate will be smaller than that of fossil fuels. All the same, the solution to our energy problems does not lie in farmers’ fields, as the production of adequate amounts of plant-based fuel would require tremendous expanses of farmland.
Whether mixed with traditional fuels or used in their pure form, biofuels are distributed in the same way as traditional fuels. Station operators, however, do need to make sure that all equipment and, for instance, filters are adapted to the characteristics of biofuel. Over the years, TSG has gained all the knowledge required to install and maintain equipment for dispensing biofuels.
