Nina Trans
Ninatrans specialises in time-critical transport. Its clients are mainly companies that expect a high degree of professionalism and for whom strict adherence to loading and delivery times is of the utmost importance. The company views its role as much broader than simply ensuring transport from A to B. Specific requirements regarding client-specific procedures are set out in service level agreements, tailored to each client. Any transport services they provide are evaluated at regular intervals, based on these agreements, and adjusted where necessary.
The Ninatrans fleet comprises 110 tractor units, 265 semi-trailers and 15 distribution vehicles. Following recognition by an international jury for its excellent approach to safety and commitment to the environment, the International Road Transport Union (IRU) has announced Ninatrans as the winner of the new IRU award for Best EU Road Transport Operator 2014.
Following steady growth, Ninatrans moved to new premises back in 2012. At the old site, they were already operating a small tank facility. However, the equipment was too old to be moved to the new site, and there was scope for improvement in stock management. Furthermore, AdBlue consumption had increased over the years and could no longer be managed efficiently using IBCs. Consequently, it was decided to issue a tender for a completely new installation at the new site.
A survey and subsequent tender process showed that Tokheim was best placed to supply the necessary equipment and carry out the entire installation. The fact that Tokheim was able to offer state-of-the-art technology at competitive prices was a key factor in this decision. Furthermore, the flexibility to incorporate Donaldson filters was viewed very favourably.
The DiaLOG system is used on a daily basis to generate various reports and closely monitor fuel consumption per vehicle. The data is used, amongst other things, to reward drivers and, where necessary, to correct them. In addition, DiaLOG is also used to monitor the fuel supplier, as stock management is largely outsourced to a single fuel supplier who uses its own telemetry system for this purpose.
In particular, the service provided by Tokheim is considered to be very good: we have a service contract and, thanks to preventive maintenance, there are very few problems. In the event of faults, Tokheim is easy to contact and quick to resolve the issue. Furthermore, our collaboration with Donaldson has gone very well: the additional filtration extends the service life of the fuel injectors and delivers significant savings on fuel consumption. Overall, we are very satisfied.
