The Project

When Redmond Construction began developing a new Texaco service station on Arklow Road in Gorey, the objective was to create a modern forecourt that meets today’s motorists’ needs while providing a strong platform for future growth.

To support the project, Paddy Redmond appointed TSG Ireland to supply and install the complete forecourt equipment package, including fuel dispensing, payment systems, fuel storage, tank monitoring and vehicle washing facilities. Drawing on extensive experience in forecourt design, supply and installation, TSG worked closely with the client and wider project team to deliver a fully coordinated solution tailored to the new site’s requirements.

As with any greenfield development, careful planning and coordination were essential. Multiple contractors were working simultaneously across different stages of the construction programme, making communication and project management critical to maintaining progress. TSG collaborated closely with Redmond Construction and other project partners to coordinate installation works, system integration, testing and commissioning throughout the build.

The result was a modern Texaco service station with advanced forecourt technology, integrated payment solutions and comprehensive vehicle wash facilities, providing customers a convenient, efficient experience from day one.

The Solution

TSG delivered a complete forecourt and vehicle wash solution designed to keep the site operating efficiently while providing motorists with a range of convenient fuelling and payment services. The scope of works included:

Supply and installation of three 4-hose Tokheim fuel dispensers
Supply and installation of one 8-hose Tokheim fuel dispenser
AdBlue dispensing facilities
T-Media digital displays across all fuel dispensers
Dual-sided Outdoor Payment Terminal with double-crypto payment capability
Prizma forecourt controller integrated with the CBE till system
Supply and installation of the Tokheim ProGauge tank gauging system
Installation of one 47,000-litre triple-compartment underground fuel tank
Installation of one 40,000-litre single-compartment underground fuel tank
Driver-controlled fuel delivery system
Vapour Recovery Stage 1 and Stage 2 systems
Kärcher Jet Wash installation
Kärcher rollover car wash installation
Equipment integration, testing and commissioning

A key aspect of the project was bringing together several specialist systems to create a forecourt that operates as one coordinated solution. The team successfully connected fuel dispensing, payment processing, tank monitoring and site management technologies, creating a coordinated system that supports efficient operations and effective fuel management.

The installation also incorporated several advanced customer-facing technologies. T-Media displays on all dispensers provide a platform for customer communication and promotional content, while the Outdoor Payment Terminal offers customers additional convenience through secure self-service payment options, including double-crypto payment capability.

Environmental performance was also an important consideration. Vapour Recovery Stage 1 and Stage 2 systems help reduce fuel vapour emissions during fuel deliveries, storage and vehicle refuelling. The ProGauge tank gauging system supports effective fuel management through accurate stock monitoring, while AdBlue dispensing provides an emissions-reduction solution for diesel vehicles.

To further enhance the customer offering, TSG installed a Kärcher Jet Wash and Kärcher rollover car wash, enabling the site to provide comprehensive vehicle cleaning services alongside its fuelling facilities.

The completed development gave Redmond Construction a modern Texaco service station that combines fuel dispensing, payment, monitoring and vehicle-wash technologies in a single, connected environment. Customers benefit from multiple fuelling positions, convenient payment options, AdBlue availability and professional vehicle-wash facilities, all designed to deliver a smooth and efficient site experience.

The team executed and commissioned the installation successfully in line with the project programme, ensuring the forecourt was ready to support operations as planned.
