The Project
Jim O’Keeffe appointed TSG Ireland to deliver a comprehensive forecourt solution for a new greenfield service station development at O’Keeffe’s Centra in Ballylongford, County Kerry. Selected for its extensive experience and ability to deliver an end-to-end solution, TSG supplied and installed all key forecourt equipment required to support the site’s successful launch.
The objective was to create a modern, efficient and customer-focused forecourt capable of meeting motorists’ needs while providing reliable fuel storage, dispensing and payment facilities. As a brand-new development, the project presented an opportunity to design and install a modern forecourt from the ground up, ensuring every element worked seamlessly together from day one.
The installation formed part of a wider construction programme involving multiple contractors across the site. Detailed planning and close collaboration were therefore essential to ensure all forecourt systems were installed, commissioned and fully operational in line with the overall project schedule. Throughout the development, TSG worked closely with the client and associated contractors to maintain progress and support the planned opening date.
The Solution
TSG delivered a comprehensive forecourt package designed to provide reliable performance, operational efficacy and a convenient customer experience. The scope of work included:
- Supply and installation of an 8-hose Tokheim QML fuel dispenser
- Diesel, Petrol and Green Diesel dispensing facilities
- Supply and installation of T-Media
- Supply and installation of a dual-sided Outdoor Payment Terminal
- Installation of two 40,000-litre underground fuel tanks
- Installation of the ProGauge tank gauging system
- Supply and installation of an air/water unit
- Equipment integration, testing and commissioning
Extensive planning and collaboration ensured that all systems were carefully integrated and aligned with the broader construction program. Specialist TSG engineers, project managers, and approved subcontractors coordinated the installation of fuel dispensing equipment, payment systems, underground fuel storage infrastructure and forecourt technology.
As with many greenfield developments, the project involved working alongside multiple contractors while ensuring all systems were correctly connected and fully operational before the site opened. Through close communication, detailed scheduling and a well-managed installation programme, TSG delivered a seamless forecourt solution.
Including the ProGauge tank gauging system provides accurate fuel monitoring and stock management capabilities, helping the client maintain operational efficiency and visibility across the forecourt.

TSG successfully delivered a modern forecourt installation that now serves as a key feature of the new O’Keeffe’s Centra development. The site offers customers convenient access to Petrol, Diesel and Green Diesel through modern dispensing equipment, supported by advanced payment technology, fuel monitoring systems and additional customer facilities.
The project was finalised within the agreed programme and fully commissioned in time for the service station’s opening. The result is a high-quality forecourt that combines efficiency, reliability and convenience, creating a positive experience for customers while supporting the long-term success of the business.
