What Impacts The Calibration of a Tank Gauge?

There are many factors that can affect the accuracy of a tank gauge. Over time, underground tanks are subjected to large amounts of pressure from the earth under which they are buried, which can cause the tank to become warped or dented, or may result in the tank moving from its original position. Subsidence can also affect calibration, causing data to corrupt.

Progauge 3D laser

A highly accurate laser measuring device generates over 200 points per centimetre of tank diameter, providing the user with a three-dimensional image of the tank. Once the operation is complete, powerful post-processing software generates an accurate final tank chart table that can be uploaded to the Automatic Tank Gauge on site. Tank calibration is safe, fast, and causes a minimum of disruption to the site.
