Rollout of electric vehicle charging infrastructure for a national automotive headquarters.

As part of its strategy to support the transition to electric mobility, Toyota Central Europe – Czech initiated the electrification of its headquarters and its nationwide Toyota and Lexus dealer network. The objective was to deploy a consistent and reliable charging infrastructure across multiple locations, while addressing site-specific technical constraints and ensuring rapid implementation.

Project overview.

TOYOTA Central Europe – Czech selected TSG Charge as a partner to support the rollout of electric vehicle charging infrastructure at its headquarters and across 36 Toyota and Lexus dealerships throughout the Czech Republic.

The project covered the full process from site assessments to infrastructure deployment and commissioning. Prior to installation, we conducted approximately 30 technical audits at the headquarters and selected dealer sites to assess electrical capacity, infrastructure readiness and installation requirements. These audits formed the basis for a coordinated and scalable rollout strategy across the network.

The solution delivered by TSG.

We were responsible for the design, installation and commissioning of AC and DC charging infrastructure.

At the headquarters, AC charging stations from German manufacturer ABL were installed, including 11 kW and 22 kW wallboxes, both wall-mounted and pole-mounted. The installation included three dual 22 kW wallboxes and four dual 22 kW wallboxes with mounting poles, providing flexible charging options for different vehicle types and use cases.

During site assessments across the dealer network, limited electrical capacity was identified at several locations, requiring coordination with local utilities to increase available power. In many cases, preparatory electrical works had already been completed by dealership owners, enabling efficient integration of the charging infrastructure.

The project presented technical challenges, including high current loads requiring 4 × 70 mm cabling, work in underground garages, and the need for civil and concrete works to be completed ahead of the winter season. Despite these constraints, the project was delivered within a very short timeframe.

Results and Impact.

From the initial coordination meeting to the handover and commissioning of the charging stations, the project was completed in approximately one month, highlighting the efficiency and coordination of all parties involved.

The installed charging infrastructure supports Toyota Central Europe – Czech in advancing its e-mobility strategy and provides a consistent foundation for electric vehicle operations at both headquarters and dealer locations. The project demonstrates how large automotive networks can implement electrification.
