With dozens of car wash locations in Belgium, Q8 decided it was time to thoroughly overhaul some of its outdated facilities. The focus was not only on replacing the car washes, but on completely renovating the locations. This would bring them back into line with Q8's vision.

Project overview.

The use of car washes continues to grow among motorists. Not only convenience, but also sustainability awareness ensures that Q8 customers count on quality when it comes to the washing experience. The outdated equipment in Destelbergen, Zaventem, Waterloo, Lanklaar-Dilsen, Marcinelle, Lommel and Vianden no longer met the high standards demanded by Q8. A complete renovation was needed.

Professional roll-overs had to be installed, equipped with an advanced payment system, CarwashPay. This would upgrade not only the car wash experience but also the payment experience for customers.

The solution delivered by TSG.

Before installing the new car washes, the old ones had to be demolished. Then, in collaboration with CleanBuild, a specialist in plastic building materials, plastic walls were installed. These not only give the car wash a modern look, but are also ideal in environments, where water and chemical products are frequently used, because it’s easily cleanable. This keeps the car wash in top condition for a long time.

Next, a water recycling system was installed. This collects used water, purifies it and enables reuse, taking water conservation to the next level.

All locations were equipped with the Klean!Star iQ roll-over, supplemented with options such as k!Planet iQ, K!Back iQ, K!Dry iQ and K!Design iQ for perfect cleaning and an optimal customer experience.

Finally, the car washes were linked to CarwashPay, which makes payment easy thanks to its wide range of payment options. It also provides Q8 with valuable insights. The link between CarwashPay and the MyCharlie portal collects essential data from the car wash and allows remote access to transactions, campaign activation and rate adjustments.
