Project overview.

TSG Switzerland SA, together with Solar Alliance AG, a subsidiary of the TSG Group, delivered four photovoltaic installations for ECSA Energy SA at multi-service stations located in Marly (Fribourg), Martigny (Valais), Meyrin (Geneva) and Petit-Lancy (Geneva).

The project was carried out between April and June 2025 and illustrates the effective integration of solar energy into operational fuel retail environments. Each site was equipped with a tailored photovoltaic system designed to maximise energy production while ensuring full compliance with safety regulations specific to service stations.

Through this project, ECSA Energy SA reinforces its long-term strategy to diversify energy sources and reduce its environmental footprint across its Swiss network.

The solution delivered by TSG.

We delivered a complete, turnkey photovoltaic solution, covering all project phases from planning and construction through to commissioning and ongoing support. The installations were carried out in close collaboration with Solar Alliance AG, a subsidiary of the our Group, contributing its expertise in large-scale photovoltaic engineering and project representation.

Across the four sites, a total of 625 Longi solar panels rated at 460 W were installed, covering 1,277 m² and delivering a combined installed capacity of 290 kWp. Depending on site requirements, each installation was equipped with one or two Huawei inverters.

The photovoltaic systems were installed on flat or metal roofs using adapted mounting structures to ensure long-term stability and performance. All sites are connected to TSG Protect, enabling real-time monitoring of energy production and consumption.

As work was carried out in potentially explosive (Ex) zones, rigorous safety measures were applied, including sealed EI90 fire-resistant ducts in compliance with ATEX standards, while scaffolding operations were planned to minimise disruption to station access and daily operations.

Results and Impact.

The four photovoltaic installations are expected to generate approximately 320,000 kWh of renewable electricity per year, contributing directly to ECSA Energy’s sustainability objectives.

Thanks to TSG Protect, ECSA Energy SA can monitor energy production and consumption in real time and actively regulate energy flows to optimise self-consumption. Powered by artificial intelligence, the system detects deviations, dynamically adjusts energy usage, and supports improved energy efficiency and site autonomy.

This project demonstrates how solar energy can be successfully integrated into multi-service stations, even in complex operational and regulatory environments, without compromising safety, performance or customer experience.
