Project overview.

We successfully installed the first Megawatt Charging System (MCS) in Southern Europe, a pioneering project led by Iberdrola | bp pulse. The aim was to provide Disfrimur with an ultra-fast charging system for their electric trucks, drastically reducing idle time and accelerating the transition toward a more sustainable logistics model.

The solution delivered by TSG.

We delivered a turnkey solution that included the feasibility study, technical design, project management, and the installation of the MCS. After analysing Disfrimur’s operational needs, we developed a tailor-made configuration based on Power Electronics equipment, reaching a maximum power of 1,440 kW.

The charger was fully integrated into the site’s electrical network and underwent rigorous testing to ensure safety, efficiency, and compatibility with the fleet. Close coordination with Iberdrola | bp pulse and an in-depth understanding of the logistics environment allowed us to deploy a cutting-edge charging point designed to meet both current and future demands of heavy-duty transport electrification.

Results and Impact.

The MCS enables trucks to recharge up to 80% of their battery in just 30 minutes, reducing downtime by 90% and significantly improving fleet productivity. This installation marks a milestone in Southern Europe, setting a new benchmark for heavy-duty vehicle charging. The project contributes directly to the decarbonisation of transport while positioning Disfrimur as a leading reference in sustainable logistics innovation.
