In residential environments, the demand for sustainable energy solutions is increasing, particularly solutions that can be integrated into existing infrastructure without impacting living space. For a housing cooperative in Cedry Wielkie, in the Gdańsk county in northern Poland, the objective was to combine vehicle shelter with on-site renewable energy generation through photovoltaic carports.

Project overview.

TSG Poland delivered a complete photovoltaic carport project for a residential housing cooperative in Cedry Wielkie. The project included the design, supply, installation, grid connection and commissioning of a photovoltaic system with a total installed capacity of 194.70 kWp.

Solar carports provide covered parking for vehicles while simultaneously generating renewable electricity through photovoltaic panels installed on the roof structure. The produced energy can be used to support electric vehicle charging or to supply nearby residential buildings, contributing to more sustainable local energy use.

TSG Poland provided a turnkey solution covering all phases of the project, from initial design through to commissioning and ongoing maintenance. The scope included the delivery of 10 photovoltaic installations mounted on carport structures, adapted to the site layout and usage requirements.

We were responsible for project design and execution, including the development of technical concepts, site planning and profitability analyses. All required equipment was supplied, including photovoltaic panels, inverters, and AC/DC protection systems.

Installation works covered the selection and installation of all structural and electrical components, followed by connection to the grid and full system commissioning. To ensure long-term performance and reliability, we also provide preventive maintenance and warranty services for the photovoltaic installations.

Results and Impact.

The completed solar carport installations combine functional vehicle shelter with on-site renewable energy generation, supporting the housing cooperative’s sustainability objectives. With a total installed capacity of 194.70 kWp, the system contributes to local electricity production and supports future-oriented energy use in a residential setting.

The project demonstrates how photovoltaic carports can be effectively integrated into housing environments, delivering practical benefits while making efficient use of available space.
