Foundation and context.
TSG was born as a new company and a technical services provider in May 2016, after its separation from Tokheim E&A’s industrial activities. Firstly, owned by its management, TSG started an independent and transformation journey. Pivoting its activities from traditional fuels to new energy for mobility to firstly support its traditional customers in their multi-energy strategy appeared as a necessity for its business sustainability. A vision that would shape its future.
A legacy of acquisitions.
Our historical roots go back to 1980 with Schlumberger Retail Petroleum Systems (RPS), a division acquired by Tokheim in 1996, before that Tokheim US was acquired by Wayne Fueling Systems in 2003. Since its carve-out from Tokheim in 2016, TSG has completed more than 40 acquisitions accelerating its transformation and growth.
Cultural and strategic development.
Our expansion was driven by organic growth accelerated with a dynamic build-up strategy focused on the onboarding of new technical skills. In the past 4 years over 2000 new colleagues have been welcomed across Europe and Africa, enriching our company’s competencies, fastly developing our expertise in new energy and enriching our culture.

Originally focused on maintaining its leadership in traditional energy infrastructure for mobility, TSG’s management pivoted in 2019 with the launch of its “TSG 2.0” strategy. This shift marked the beginning of the company’s expansion into multi-energy solutions, mobility hubs, and digitalization. By 2021, enabling the energy transition became TSG’s core purpose, and today, new energy activities account for over 50% of TSG’s total business, reflecting rapid growth. While TSG remains committed to its foundational expertise in traditional energy, it is now a forward-thinking leader in sustainable, renewable energy solutions, doubling the size of its business and continuing its growth in the mobility sector.

TSG’s key steps.
TSG’s evolution has been marked by several key momentum, each pivotal in shaping our growth trajectory and reinforcing our commitment to sustainability and innovation.
May 2016 – Birth of TSG as technical services provider
TSG management is acquiring Tokheim’s sales and services departments to create TSG, a European technical services provider specialised in the design, building and maintenance of public and private service-stations and operating in 30 countries in Europe and Africa.
September 2020 – Partnership with HLD
After 5 years of an entrepreneurial adventure, TSG partners with HLD, the investment company focuses on the support and the development of European companies. HLD becomes TSG’s main shareholder and the Group’s reference partner for the coming years to support its strategic growth and transformation project. It also marked the beginning of a new chapter in TSG’s history, as we began to strengthen our position as a European leader in mobility and energy services.
December 2020 – J.M. Bianchi appointment & TSG’s M&A Strategy
Jean-Marc Bianchi becomes TSG Chairman and CEO, a turning point in the implementation of TSG growth and transformation strategy. Under his leadership, all TSG entities are developing new energy for mobility, and TSG initiated an ambitious M&A strategy, acquiring 45 companies in just five years. This strategy enabled us to expand our expertise and build leadership in emerging business areas, ensuring that we remain agile and responsive to the needs of the market.
2021 – Energy Transition at the core
In 2021, TSG officially made the energy transition a cornerstone of its business strategy defining its purpose: to be a key enabler in the energy transition. This shift reflected our commitment to corporate social responsibility (CSR) and was in direct response to the growing demand of our customers for sustainable energy solutions. With the energy transition at the heart of our operations, we expanded our focus beyond traditional fuel services by pioneering in all new energy infrastructures and systems.

Since that time, TSG is comforting its leadership position across all European markets, becoming the European leader in technical solutions for responsible mobility, and beyond, by strengthening its organic growth with a series of targeted acquisitions. Recently and to fit our customers’ needs, we have developed full integrated technical offers associating Solar, battery storage and energy management systems.
