Natural gas.

Most people speak of “gas” as if it were a single solution. In practice, the term covers a family of molecules — each with distinct characteristics and technical implications. Compressed Natural Gas (CNG), transported via pipeline and stored on-site under pressure, is particularly suited to urban applications like city buses, refuse trucks and delivery fleets. Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG), cooled to -162°C and stored in cryogenic tanks, provides the range required for long-haul transport across areas with limited pipeline access.

Biogas.

Biogas is a renewable energy source made from organic waste, helping reduce greenhouse gas emissions and combat climate change. TSG is advancing biogas technologies for the mobility sector, offering solutions that integrate it as an alternative fuel. TSG collaborates with clients to design and implement efficient, eco-friendly biogas fueling stations, supporting sustainable vehicle operation and the circular economy.

Hydrogen.

The gases used in eco-friendly travel are constantly evolving and Hydrogen, also known as “H2”, is the latest development. Hydrogen has a higher specific energy (energy per unit mass) than conventional fuels and is considered to be environmentally friendly. TSG is at the forefront of hydrogen application in the mobility industry.

TSG Gas offers turnkey hydrogen solutions, from dispensers to control and management systems for a complete station or a network of stations. TSG Gas is the preferred partner for total project management including the provision of equipment, preparatory works, civils, commissioning and training.

Services.

We offer 24/7 full-service provider in all gas.

We advise on all gas to help chose the best gas solutions. We develop the initial concept and propose the best fitting implementation according to each customer’s business needs, and within the constraints of the site.

TSG implements and installs reliable equipment and strictly applies regulatory directives as well as town planning and environment codes for construction and site monitoring, including supply and commissioning.

As gas maintenance should be managed with the most stringent standards, TSG offers comprehensive services for safety and compliance, including operator training and curative & preventive maintenance with regulatory control.

Frequently Asked Questions.

It all depends on several factors and specific market conditions. A gas-powered vehicle is more expensive to purchase than a diesel vehicle, but the total cost of ownership can be lower due to the low cost of gas or various incentives, such as tolls or road taxes.

Gas-powered vehicles can be a cost-effective alternative to diesel vehicles, and the technology is constantly improving in terms of efficiency and range. Biogas (bio-LNG) offers the circular and climate benefits increasingly demanded by customers in the transportation sector. It is also an alternative fuel that is already available in many locations.

Biogas vehicles can also be a prerequisite for maintaining or seizing new business opportunities due to increasing environmental requirements.

In France, for example, vehicles running on gas (LNG/bio-LNG or CNG/bio-CNG) are eligible for the Crit’Air 1 sticker, which provides a competitive advantage and is even mandatory for certain urban transport options.

Currently, LNG and bio-LNG vehicles can travel up to 1.000 km before refueling. This makes them a viable fuel for long-distance applications. CNG has a shorter range and is more commonly used for local transport.

Hydrogen has a role to play in decarbonizing the transport sector and, more broadly, all forms of mobility. Particularly well-suited to heavy and/or intensive transport, a hydrogen vehicle is a zero-emission vehicle that offers the operational comfort of a combustion engine vehicle.

The transition of road transport towards cleaner engines is underway. In its new sustainable mobility strategy, the European Commission aims to put 60.000 hydrogen trucks on the roads by 2030.
